Welcome to TellSpotAI Help. This page explains how to use TellSpotAI, manage your account, create Spots, upload knowledge, add contact methods, share QR-linked chat pages, manage usage, request account deletion, and contact support. Your use of TellSpotAI remains subject to the Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, and any other applicable policies.
1. What Is TellSpotAI?
TellSpotAI is an AI-powered platform that allows account owners to create public information Spots for their business, service, place, event, product, organization, or public-facing information point. Each Spot can have its own knowledge base, public link, QR code, public chat page, and Customer Contact Methods where available. Visitors can open the Spot and ask questions. TellSpotAI responds using information approved and configured by the Spot owner.
TellSpotAI is designed for informational assistance and customer support. It is not a substitute for professional advice, emergency services, legal advice, medical advice, financial advice, or regulated decision-making.
2. Creating an Account and Signing In
Open the TellSpotAI website.
Select Create account or Sign up.
Enter your email address and required account details.
Verify your email using the code or link sent to your inbox.
Sign in to your dashboard.
If you do not receive a verification email, check spam, junk, promotions, and blocked sender settings. If login fails after repeated attempts, wait a few minutes and try again because security rate limits may apply.
3. Dashboard Overview
- Create and manage Spots.
- Upload and update knowledge base content.
- Prepare and test Spot information.
- Configure contact methods where available.
- Review public Spot links and QR codes.
- View usage and credit consumption.
- Manage account settings and deletion options.
- Manage billing when paid plans are enabled.
- Monitor basic activity and performance where available.
4. Creating and Publishing a Spot
Open your dashboard.
Select Create Spot.
Add the Spot name, description, and relevant settings.
Upload or enter approved knowledge.
Prepare or index the information if prompted.
Test the Spot before sharing it publicly.
Publish the Spot when ready to receive the public link and QR code.
Use clear, accurate, and current information. The quality of AI responses depends on the quality of the knowledge you provide.
5. Knowledge Base and Supported Files
The knowledge base contains the information TellSpotAI uses to answer visitor questions. It may include business descriptions, services, prices, opening hours, location details, FAQs, policies, instructions, product details, event information, tourism or venue guidance, and support information.
Current supported upload formats are plain text and Markdown files, typically .txt and .md. Use UTF-8 text, simple headings, clear facts, and avoid duplicated or conflicting information. Do not upload information you do not own or do not have permission to use. Do not upload confidential, sensitive, medical, legal, financial, or personal information unless you are legally authorized and the use is appropriate for TellSpotAI.
6. Managing Contact Methods
Where available, you may add Customer Contact Methods such as support email, phone number, WhatsApp or messaging link, website, booking link, social media link, or address. These contact methods may appear to visitors in the public Spot or through the chat experience.
- Use only contact methods that you own or are authorized to use.
- Keep contact methods accurate and current.
- Do not add someone else's phone number, email, social account, website, or payment link without permission.
- Do not use contact methods for scams, phishing, impersonation, illegal payments, or misleading off-platform communications.
- Remove outdated contact methods immediately.
7. Visitor Chat
Visitors can ask questions through the public Spot chat. TellSpotAI may answer using the Spot knowledge base, platform safety rules, public Spot configuration, visitor message context, Customer Contact Methods, and available AI provider settings. Visitors should not submit sensitive personal information, passwords, payment card details, health information, government identifiers, or confidential information into the chat.
8. Missing Information and Contact Requests
The Missing Information page helps you understand what visitors asked but your Spot could not answer from approved information. It may show counts, grouped topics, sample questions, reasons, first seen dates, last seen dates, and date-range filters.
Contact Requests shows visitor questions asking how to contact you, whether the Spot answered successfully or not. This helps you confirm that your contact methods are clear, current, and easy for visitors to find.
Grouped topics combine similar missing questions so repeated questions can be reviewed together instead of storing or reviewing every individual message.
Use these insights to improve your knowledge base, add missing facts, clarify services, update prices, correct hours, improve contact methods, and test the Spot again.
Missing-information analytics are informational and may be grouped or approximate. You should review the underlying knowledge before making changes.
9. Usage Credits
TellSpotAI may use credits, quotas, limits, or message allowances depending on your plan. Credits may be consumed when a visitor receives an AI answer, you test a Spot, AI processing is performed, retrieval or preparation features are used, or other chargeable actions occur under your plan. If your credits or limits are exhausted, some features may stop working until credits are renewed, upgraded, or reset according to your plan.
10. Billing
Billing features may depend on whether paid plans are enabled for your account or region. When billing is active, you may be able to select a plan, upgrade or downgrade, view payment status, review invoices or receipts, cancel a subscription, and manage renewal status. Payment processing may be handled by third-party payment providers. Billing terms, taxes, refunds, and cancellations are governed by the applicable plan terms and TellSpotAI Terms of Service.
For billing, subscription, invoice, payment, tax, or refund questions, contact [email protected].
11. Account Settings and Deletion
In account settings, you may be able to manage account details, email address, business information, language preferences, security settings, notification preferences, billing information, team or user permissions, data export, or deletion options. Some settings may require verification for security reasons.
If you delete your account, TellSpotAI may disable access, unpublish or restrict public Spots, disable QR-linked pages, remove Customer Contact Methods from public display, and delete or anonymize account and Spot data from active systems within a reasonable period. Some records may be retained where required or permitted for billing, tax, accounting, fraud prevention, security, legal compliance, disputes, backup cycles, or operational needs.
For account deletion help or data requests, contact [email protected].
12. Security Tips
- Use a secure email account.
- Do not share login codes.
- Do not share account access with unauthorized users.
- Review team permissions regularly.
- Remove users who no longer need access.
- Keep uploaded information and contact methods accurate and appropriate.
- Report suspicious activity immediately.
- Avoid uploading unnecessary personal or sensitive information.
- TellSpotAI will never ask you to provide your password, private keys, full payment card number, or verification code through public chat.
13. Troubleshooting
- I cannot sign in: check your email address and request a new verification code if needed. If you made too many attempts, wait before trying again.
- I did not receive the verification email: check spam, junk, promotions, and blocked sender settings.
- My Spot is not answering correctly: review the knowledge base, remove conflicting information, add missing details, and test again.
- My QR code does not work: make sure the Spot is published and points to the correct public link. Test with more than one device.
- My credits are gone: review usage activity if available. Credits may be consumed by visitor answers, testing, retrieval, or preparation actions.
- A visitor received an incorrect answer: update the knowledge base, add clearer instructions, and test the expected question again.
- File upload is failing: check that the file is .txt or .md, uses supported encoding, and does not contain unsupported or restricted content.
- A contact method is wrong: edit or remove the contact method immediately from your Spot settings.
- The service is slow or unavailable: temporary delays may occur due to maintenance, provider outages, network issues, rate limits, or high demand.
